Bottom Ash Treating Plant
Incinerator Bottom Ash is the ash that is left over after waste is
burnt in an incinerator. Since a wide range of municipal wastes are
burned in the energy from waste plants, the leftover ash is not all
powdery but contains glass, brick, rubble, sand, grit, metal,
stone, concrete, ceramics and combusted products such as ash and
slag.
In order to avoid landfill disposal and recover the most of the
valuable material, Hengyang Industry use a sorting process that may
include vibratory screens, rotating trommels, magnet, eddy current
separators, in order to remove large objects, stones, bricks and
metals (iron and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper and
brass). Those left overs can therefore be recycled in a number of
construction applications to replace primary aggregates extracted
from quarries.
Bottom Ash Treating Plant Main Equipment:
| Trommel screen | An angled rotating cylinder with holes that allow waste of a given
size to fall through. |
| Air separation | Using air separating various materials. |
| Ballistic Separation | A steeply inclined bed with a perforated plate screen deck, with
alternate vibrating elements. Light fractions are lifted by cams to
the top of the bed, heavy fractions fall to the bottom. |
| Film grabber | Waste is accelerated onto a rotating drum with spikes. These hook
plastic film and let other waste drop. |
| Magnetic separation | Magnets either lift ferrous metal from the waste, or hold ferrous
metal to the conveyor while other waste is allowed to drop. |
| Manual Sorting | Employees are positioned beside the conveyor and manually remove
materials either in positive or negative sorting. |
